Thank you for showing your support for a future without nuclear weapons.

Fold a Crane for Peace

This year, between August 6-9, thousands of voices from around the world came together to honor the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by sharing a paper crane to demand a more peaceful future.

Cranes in Flight

Why This Moment Mattered

As we marked 79 years since the atomic bombings, the world faces the biggest risk of nuclear conflict since the Cold War.

It doesn’t need to be that way.  On August 6-9, people around the world showed our leaders—those in office and those up for election—that we demand a better future for our families and communities.

We’re not done yet. This year, we’re bringing #CranesForOurFuture to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, to send a message our leaders can’t ignore.

The Power of Peace Cranes

Thanks to the powerful story of Sadako Sasaki, paper cranes now inspire the world with a message of peace, hope, and resilience.
